Together with Nutanix Move—which handles the orchestration of VM relocation and network cutover—this approach allows enterprises to migrate off VMware to a Nutanix + NetApp environment faster and with less risk than traditional methods.


Integrated Data Services & Security

With NetApp storage underpinning Nutanix clusters, customers can tap into NetApp ONTAP’s robust data services. These include application-consistent snapshots, efficient replication (such as SnapMirror®), and Autonomous Ransomware Protection (ARP/AI), now available to Nutanix-hosted workloads.

The partnership builds on NetApp’s decades of storage innovation, bringing ONTAP enterprise data services directly into Nutanix environments. Capabilities such as ONTAP synchronous replication (SnapMirror®) provide the foundation for stretched cluster architectures, enabling data to be mirrored across geographically separate sites to deliver high availability and resilience.
